Welcome to my website. I’m Elizabeth (Betsy) Hoffman, Professor Emerita of Experimental and Behavioral Economics and President Emerita, with a long career in university administration. This site showcases my work in research, education, university leadership, mentoring, governance (both for-profit and not-for-profit), and consulting.

I’m currently affiliated with Higher Ed Consolidation Solutions, where I advise colleges and universities on mergers and partnerships. I also maintain a long-standing association with the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA)> where I serve as chair of the Administrative Services Oversight Committee (ASOC) and as a member of the Audit Committee.

I continue to write and collaborate with former graduate students to complete and publish their research. You’ll find highlights of my unpublished work in the Unpublished Work and Book Chapters section.

I continue to reflect on the institutions and individuals that shaped my career and life. This site offers a space to share those stories, along with selected unpublished papers and archival materials. For those interested in my published research, several articles are available through the Iowa State University Digital Repository , where my work remains accessible to scholars and the public alike.
